Legend has it: the beautiful, evasive Diavolezza (she-devil) lives among the towering crags of Switzerland's Bernina Range. With only a few sightings of the elusive beauty, young Aratsch became quite besotted with the magnificent she-spirit and followed her across the rocky cliffs to her fortress of stone never to return. Thereafter who at nightfall still lingers among Bernina Massif can hear the wailing voice of the Diavolezza borne on the drifting wind, calling: "mort ais Aratsch" (Aratsch is dead).
